The township warns that vehicles parked on roads could be towed
The Township of Lake of Bays is reminding everyone that parking in a way that blocks winter road operations is prohibited.
The municipality says that obstructing snow plows, sanding, or other road maintenance can create safety risks and slow crews down. Vehicles left in the way may be towed at the owner’s expense.
Public Works Director Steve Peace says parked cars can force plow operators to back up long stretches in poor conditions, creating hazards for everyone.
