Police in Bracebridge have laid charges against a Brampton man after videos showing unsafe firearm use circulated online.
Ontario Provincial Police say 24-year-old Gurkanwal Singh was arrested Wednesday and charged with two counts of careless use of a firearm. His weapons and firearms licence have been seized.
Singh is scheduled to appear in Bracebridge court on October 7. The OPP say the investigation is ongoing as officers continue to collect evidence and follow up on leads.
In a statement, police thanked members of the public who came forward with information, adding that community cooperation is vital to keeping people safe.
