The operator was hit by his own vessel and taken to hospital
OPP say a boater was injured after being struck by his own vessel in Georgian Bay Wednesday afternoon.
Southern Georgian Bay officers responded to Brandy’s Island after reports a 57-year-old man had been ejected into the water around 2:15 p.m. Police say the unmanned boat continued in a circular path before striking him.
The man was taken to hospital by Muskoka EMS with minor injuries. Emergency crews, including fire and paramedics, were able to stop the vessel safely.
