Police are trying to determine how the fire started
The Huntsville O.P.P. are asking for the public’s help in their investigation of a house fire that broke out Wednesday morning on West Street South.
Police say they are particularly seeking any video or information showing the very start of the fire, which could assist in determining how it began.
Emergency crews, including Huntsville Fire Department and Muskoka Ambulance, were on scene shortly after 10 a.m. when the blaze fully engulfed the home at 43 West Street. As the fire grew, it spread to the side of the neighboring residence, causing extensive damage.
All occupants of both homes were safely out of the buildings when crews arrived, and thankfully no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and authorities say no further details are available at this time.
