Expect to see a larger police presence
OPP and the Muskoka Crime Unit are investigating a violent assault that sent two people to hospital late Monday night in Gravenhurst.
Police say officers were called just before midnight to a wooded area west of Muskoka Road South, where the victims were found with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Specialized OPP units, including K9, forensics, and the Emergency Response Team, remain active in the area.
Police say there’s no ongoing threat to public safety, but residents can expect to see a larger police presence in Gravenhurst and parts of Bracebridge.
