The driver of the bucket truck is facing multiple impaired related charges

Huntsville OPP have charged a commercial truck driver after reports of suspected impaired driving in Lake of Bays.

Police were called just before 3 p.m. on November 17th, after witnesses said a man smelling of alcohol was behind the wheel of a bucket-arm work truck on Highway 35. Officers were given the company name and licence plate and later spotted the vehicle on Highway 60 before stopping it on Highway 11 southbound.

The driver failed a roadside breath test.

Thirty-four-year-old Reginald Wilson of Pakenham is now facing several charges, including impaired driving, driving a commercial vehicle in contravention of conditions, failing to maintain a daily log, and having open liquor.

Wilson is due in Bracebridge court on December 16th.
