The funds will help cover the municipality's recovery costs from the November 2024 snowstorms
Ontario is providing the Town of Gravenhurst with up to $780,000 to cover emergency response and cleanup costs from extreme snowfall in November 2024.
The funding comes through the Municipal Disaster Recovery Assistance program, which helps municipalities repair roads, bridges, and other essential infrastructure after natural disasters.
Graydon Smith, Associate Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, said the support ensures communities can recover safely and maintain local services. Minister Rob Flack added the funding will ease the burden on the town and protect residents’ safety.
