The renovated facility will improve access to culturally appropriate programs and services
Ontario’s government says a major investment in Parry Sound is helping strengthen community services for Indigenous residents in the North.
Parry Sound–Muskoka MPP Graydon Smith says $500,000 from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation is helping transform the Parry Sound Friendship Centre into a modern, welcoming space.
Smith says the renovated facility will improve access to culturally appropriate programs and services while supporting urban Indigenous communities and bringing people together in the region.
He says the project reflects the province’s commitment to building stronger, more resilient northern communities.
