He will instead run again for mayor of Armour Twp
Rod Ward has announced he is withdrawing his candidacy for Town and District Councillor in Huntsville and will instead run again for mayor of Armour Township.
Ward says he made the decision after discussions about his unfinished work in Armour and the broader Almaguin Highlands, particularly on healthcare and other regional services.
He says the connections between Huntsville and Armour extend beyond municipal boundaries, with residents and services moving between the two areas.
Ward thanked Huntsville voters and the other candidates, and says he hopes to continue working with communities across Almaguin and Muskoka.
