Main Street will close starting at 6pm on Friday
Huntsville drivers can expect road closures downtown Friday night as the annual Santa Claus Parade rolls through town.
OPP say Main Street West will close at six o’clock at Yonge Street, with access to Main Street East and King William Street blocked all the way to the Huntsville Mall while the parade is underway.
Floats and participants will be staging along Main Street West.
Police are asking motorists to avoid the area and use Townline Road via Yonge Street to reach Brunel Road. They’re also reminding drivers to watch for a surge in pedestrians — especially excited children — moving through the downtown core during the event.
