A McMurrich/Monteith man face multiple charges
A McMurrich-Monteith Township man is facing charges after police investigated threats allegedly made against government employees.
The Almaguin Highlands OPP says officers began investigating after receiving reports of threatening social media posts on June 14. Additional threats were later uncovered, including written correspondence sent to a municipal office.
Police executed a search warrant at a residence on Stisted Road on Thursday, where a firearm and ammunition were seized.
34-year-old Shawn MacEachern is charged with two counts of uttering threats and two counts related to the careless storage of a firearm and ammunition.
He was scheduled to appear in court in Parry Sound on Friday.
