The inspections are being carried out on select waterfront properties
The Town of Bracebridge is carrying out its annual septic system inspection program on select waterfront properties through the end of August.
Inspections will take place on properties around Clear, Little Leech, Bird, Prospect, Bigwind and Spring lakes.
The program is designed to help protect local waterways and groundwater by identifying potential problems with private sewage systems before they become more serious.
Property owners do not need to be home during inspections, and the Town says residents will receive a follow-up report outlining any maintenance or repairs that may be required.
