Six communities will benefit from the Seniors Community Grant program
Six community organizations in Parry Sound–Muskoka are receiving more than $113,000 through Ontario’s Seniors Community Grants program.
The funding includes $25,000 each for the Ryde Community Co-op and Parry Sound Family Health Team, while the District of Muskoka is receiving nearly $25,000 for smartphone training for older adults.
Bracebridge is getting nearly $25,000 for senior wellness and intergenerational programs.
North of 50 and the Township of Carling are also receiving funding for social and educational programs.
MPP Graydon Smith says the grants are designed to help seniors stay active, connected and engaged in their communities.
