Students and healthcare workers can apply until May 1st
Local students and hospital staff looking to advance their healthcare careers can now apply for the South Muskoka Hospital Foundation’s 2026 Educational Assistance Awards. The awards support post-secondary studies in health sciences and recognize volunteerism and academic achievement.
Leah Walker, the Foundation’s Executive Director, says the funding helps reduce financial barriers and encourages graduates to return and serve the community. Award amounts typically range from $500 to $2,000, and past recipients say the support allows them to focus on studies and extra opportunities.
Applications must be submitted by May 1st, and more information is available through the South Muskoka Hospital Foundation.
