The town says anyone advertising for or against a candidate must register before advertising
The Town of Huntsville is reminding residents that the deadline to register as a third-party advertiser in the 2026 municipal election is October 23.
Individuals, corporations, and trade unions that want to use paid advertising to support or oppose a candidate, or take a position on a ballot question, must register with the municipal clerk before spending any money on campaign advertising.
The Town says third-party advertising must remain independent from candidate campaigns. Residents can find more election information, including key voting dates, at Huntsville.ca/election.
