The schoolboard reports improvements in math, reading and writing
Trillium Lakelands District School Board students are showing continued improvement in provincial academic testing.
The latest EQAO results show mathematics scores have increased over the past five years in Grades 3, 6 and 9. Grade 3 results are up 24 percent, while Grade 6 scores have risen 15 percent and Grade 9 scores are up 7 percent overall.
Reading and writing results for Grades 3 and 6 have also increased significantly and remain above the provincial results. Grade 10 literacy scores are up 5 percent over five years, although they remain slightly below the provincial average.
