The meeting takes place at 5.30pm
Huntsville Council is tackling several key issues at tonight’s meeting, including transit upgrades, healthcare recruitment, and local road access.
Town staff have proposed a phased plan to improve Huntsville’s transit system, starting with the addition of two new buses. The goal is to boost ridership, modernize the fleet, and make the service more accessible.
On the healthcare front, the town’s Physician Incentive Program has helped bring six new doctors to the community since 2024. With only four spots left in the current program and more leads in the pipeline, staff are asking Council for direction on expanding recruitment and retention efforts.
Council is also being asked to consider a maintenance agreement with the Ministry of Transportation to allow Shay Road to be opened for public use.
