OPP say officers responded to a theft call at a licensed retailer on Edward Street around 2:40 p.m. Wednesday. Thanks to quick information from staff, police tracked down the suspects a short time later.

Thirty-five-year-old Matthew Johnston of Haliburton faces several charges, including theft under five-thousand dollars, obstruction, and driving while suspended.

Thirty-seven-year-old Amanda Corby of Highland Grove is charged with weapons and probation violations.

Both were held in custody and are due in a Bracebridge court for bail hearings today.
