Long time journalist James Bowler is seeking a District seat in Huntsville
A longtime Muskoka journalist is entering municipal politics, announcing his candidacy for Huntsville District Council.
James Bowler says more than a decade of covering local government has given him a close look at the issues facing residents, and he wants to bring that experience to the council table.
His priorities include greater transparency, responsible spending, improving access to primary care, downtown safety and finding practical solutions for waste collection.
The municipal election is October 26, with Huntsville voters choosing three District councillors.
