Ryan Campese was recognized by council at a recent meeting
A local youth worker has been named Perry Township’s Citizen of the Year.
Ryan Campese received the honour at the September 3 council meeting, where Mayor Norm Hofstetter praised his dedication to young people in the community. Campese, who has worked with Youth Unlimited YFC Novar for eight years, says he’s humbled by the recognition and credits the township and local residents for their support. He and his team have built programs like a drop-in space and holiday events, with all funding coming from donations.
Campese says his dream is for Perry’s youth to one day have a building of their own.
