The showcase includes a Saturday reception with live music, an artist talk by Marson, and sales supporting local community services.
The Table Art Gallery & Hub is hosting a two-day exhibition, Sapphire Blue, celebrating Huntsville artist and educator Janine Marson and her 45-year teaching milestone.
The show runs Friday, Sept. 4 and Saturday, Sept. 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
First conceived by Marson in 2020, the exhibition brings together her own landscape and fine art pieces alongside original works by generations of her current and former students, whom she invited to display and sell their work with no entry fee. Over her 45-year career, Marson who is a BFA graduate from the University of Guelph and Georgian College, has mentored hundreds of artists across Muskoka, Toronto, and through institutions like the Haliburton School of Art + Design.
An artist reception takes place Saturday, Sept. 5 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Highlights include an artist talk at 1 p.m. where Marson will discuss her creative journey and decades of mentorship, accompanied by live violin music by Marion Linton, baked goods from Erika’s Bakery, and brief remarks from project partners.
A portion of all artwork sales will directly support local community programs at The Table Soup Kitchen Foundation, aligning the milestone showcase with the International Day of Charity.
