Clouthier says he worked upgrade infrastructure while also addressing concerns around taxes
A Huntsville councillor says he’s ready to keep working on major local projects as he puts his name forward for another term.
Monty Clouthier has filed nomination papers for Brunel Ward, highlighting ongoing road work including Swallowdale Road, West Browns Road, and Otter Lake Road, along with planned work at the local locks.
Clouthier says his first term has focused on infrastructure upgrades, equipment replacement, and managing rising costs, while also addressing community concerns around taxes and service levels.
He says he’s proud of his work in reversing reduced lock operating hours and expanding year-round ice at the Don Lough Arena.
Outside of council, Clouthier is retired from Muskoka Crane, serves as president of the Huntsville Otters junior hockey team, and volunteers with Food4Kids Muskoka.
He says he’s asking voters for another four years to continue representing Brunel Ward.
