MPP Graydon Smith and MP Scott Aitchison condemn the reckless use of firearms
There’s concern in Muskoka after reports of reckless firearm use on Crown land near public trails in Georgian Bay Township.
Both Parry Sound–Muskoka MPP Graydon Smith and MP Scott Aitchison say the behaviour is dangerous, irresponsible, and puts families at risk.
They point out that most firearms owners in Muskoka are law-abiding citizens who respect hunting traditions, safety rules, and their neighbours. But they say these recent incidents abandon those values and threaten the safety of people simply out walking, riding, or enjoying the outdoors.
The OPP are investigating, and anyone with information is asked to contact the Bracebridge detachment.
