The facility is expected to be ready in 2028
Trillium Lakelands District School Board has broken ground on a new Outdoor Education and Indigenous Centre in Minden.
The 3.8-million-dollar project will provide hands-on outdoor and land-based learning for more than 17,000 students across the board.
The facility will sit on more than 90 acres and include trails for hiking and snowshoeing, with Indigenous teachings guided by Elders and Knowledge Keepers.
Construction is expected to be completed in 2028.
